About Football for Kids NWA

Football for Kids NWA is a fourth through sixth grade recreational football league led by a committee comprised of coordinators from the Springdale Department of Parks and Recreation and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bentonville, Fayetteville, and Siloam Springs.

This league places an emphasis on learning the game over winning the game. Participation in recreational team sports provides the chance for children to grow physically, socially and emotionally through positive peer and adult interaction and gives them an opportunity to understand the healthy aspects of competition in a friendly environment.  In addition, studies show that youth who participate in sports cope better with competition and adversity in other areas of their life.

Although the Football for Kids NWA league is being led by organizations from these five communities, kids do not have to live in one of those districts to play on a team. Football for Kids NWA encourages anyone interested in getting involved as a player, coach or sponsor for the upcoming season to contact their local league affiliate organization.
